Get Mazdoor ("we", "us") operates this website and mobile app to help job seekers, employers, and local workers ("mazdoor") in Pakistan and the Gulf find each other. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text) when you register.
Profile & CV information — job history, skills, uploaded CV/resume files, and company details you choose to add, for candidates and employers respectively.
Contact details — phone numbers or other contact information you add to your profile, which is only shown to other users after you or they use the "show contact" feature, as described on the relevant pages.
Messages — the content of messages you send through the site's messaging feature, to deliver them to the intended recipient.
Usage information — basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) collected automatically for security and to keep the service running reliably.

How we use this information

To operate the core service — showing job listings, candidate profiles, and the local-hiring ("mazdoor") marketplace.
To let employers and candidates contact each other once contact details are explicitly revealed.
To send account-related and optional notification emails (such as new job matches), which you can turn off in your notification settings at any time.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep the platform free of spam.

Live location (“Go live”)

If you choose Go live, your browser sends your current position to us about every 25 seconds while the site or app is open. We use it to show mazdoor on the Mazdoor map (as a dot within about 100 m, never your exact spot), to alert you first about nearby work, to send you alerts about the trades you pick, and to count how long you were live (this affects how high you are listed). Only your latest position is kept, and it is removed when you stop or go offline. The time counter (minutes live per day) is kept to rank mazdoor. You can stop at any time on the Go live page.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only:

With other users, strictly as intended by the site's features (e.g. your profile being visible to employers, or your contact details after a contact reveal).
With service providers that help run the site (such as our hosting provider, and — only if you use the optional AI-assisted search — an AI provider used solely to interpret your search query, not to store your data).
If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Get Mazdoor or our users.

Job listings from third parties

Some job listings shown on the site are sourced from licensed third-party job aggregation services, not scraped. These listings link back to the original posting; we do not control or guarantee the accuracy of externally-sourced listings.

Your choices

You can edit or remove your profile information, or delete your uploaded CV, at any time from your account.
You can turn off optional notification emails from your notification settings.
You can request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us at the email address below.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, not in plain text. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.

Children's privacy

This service is intended for working-age adults seeking employment or hiring workers, and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
