CHILLQUANTA Bochum, Germany (Ruhr University Bochum) | On-site / Hybrid | Co-Founder / Equity | Deep Tech / Quantum & Semiconductor Metrology About ChillQuanta ChillQuanta is developing an electro-optic spectrometer for inspecting and characterizing photonic qubits (semiconductor quantum-dot single- and entangled-photon sources), aiming to replace or combine today's separate methods (capacitance-voltage, photoluminescence, resonance fluorescence spectroscopy) with one new sub-100-femtosecond-resolution, non-destructive electro-optic technique — with a patent filing already in progress. Target market: quantum and semiconductor chip makers. The opportunity Founded by Amar Alok (CEO, PhD in Experimental Physics from RUB, 4+ years in ultrafast optics and pump-probe spectroscopy) alongside a Chemistry postdoc, ChillQuanta has a lab prototype (TRL 3-4) benchmarked against single-atom data, an Invention Disclosure accepted by RUB (April 2026) with a manuscript in preparation for Physical Review Letters, and over €12k raised so far.
